Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies www.maltaca.com uses, why, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work; others help us understand how the website is used. Similar technologies, such as information stored in your browser's local storage, are treated in the same way in this policy.
2. Your choice
When you first visit the website, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies or choose by category. Only strictly necessary cookies are used until you make a choice. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button at the bottom left of the screen or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the analytics and advertising cookies already set are deleted.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website, such as the contact form, from working.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the website to function and to protect it. They do not need your consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| mca_consent | maltaca.com | Remembers your cookie choices so that the banner is not shown again. | 180 days |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Google (reCAPTCHA) | Protects the contact form against spam and automated abuse. Set only when you start using the form. | 6 months |
| wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* | maltaca.com | Used only for authorised staff who sign in to manage the website. Not set for visitors. | Session to 1 year |
3.2 Analytics (with your consent)
These cookies are set only if you choose "Accept all" or enable Analytics in the cookie settings.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so that we can count visits and understand how the website is used. | 2 years |
| _ga_7RB6F9YYX4 | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your visit (session) for the website statistics. | 2 years |
3.3 Advertising (with your consent)
These cookies are used only if you enable Advertising in the cookie settings and only when we measure our Google Ads campaigns.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures which advertising campaigns lead to an enquiry on the website. | 90 days |
3.4 Third-party services you choose to use
When you choose to book an online meeting, the booking window is provided by Calendly. Calendly may set its own cookies, which are needed for the booking to work and are governed by Calendly's cookie policy. Calendly is loaded only when you open the booking window.
4. Google consent mode
The website uses Google consent mode. Until you consent, Google tags do not set or read analytics or advertising cookies. In this state, they may send limited signals without cookies and without identifiers that recognise you (for example, that a page was viewed), which Google uses to report aggregated traffic. When you give consent, this is passed on to Google and the cookies described above may be set.
5. More information
For information about how we process personal data, including your rights and how to contact us, see our Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies can be sent to info@maltaca.com.
